What can I send?
Documents, clothes, phones, spare parts, food that keeps, and most everyday goods up to 20 kg, as long as the parcel fits under a bus seat. We cannot carry cash, live animals, fuel, or anything illegal. If you are unsure, call us before you pack it.
How long does it take?
Most parcels between district towns arrive the same day if they are collected before noon, and the next day otherwise. Deep rural villages can add a few hours while a local rider makes the last leg. You see an estimate before you pay.
How much does it cost?
Price depends on distance and size, and you always see the exact amount before the parcel moves. There are no hidden fees and nothing is added on delivery. Call us with your route and we will quote you in under a minute.
Who pays, the sender or the receiver?
The sender pays with mobile money when the rider collects the parcel. The receiver pays nothing on delivery, so no one has to be caught out with cash at the door.
What happens to my money before it arrives?
It is held in escrow. FLOOW does not release payment to the riders and the bus until the receiver reads back the SMS code and confirms the parcel is in their hands.
What if a parcel is lost or damaged?
Every parcel is tracked at each handover, so we can tell you exactly where it stopped. If we lose or damage it, we refund what you paid and cover the declared value up to 100,000 RWF. Tell us within 7 days of sending.
Do I need a smartphone? Does the receiver?
Neither of you does. FLOOW runs on *000# on any feature phone, with no internet, and the receiver only needs to be able to read one SMS. The app is for senders who also want a live map and saved addresses.
Is FLOOW for individuals or for businesses?
Both. Most parcels are people sending to family upcountry. Shops and online sellers use the same system with a dashboard that shows every order in one place.
